Dambach UK Ltd was formed on 25th May 1989 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dambach Werke GmbH of Germany which had over 70 years experience in the design and manufacture of traffic signs and control systems.

In 2008 Dambach Werke was acquired Swarco AG of Austria who are a growing international group in traffic technology and materials providing a complete range of road marking, signalling and other traffic management products, services and solutions. Swarco currently employs over 2500 staff in many countries and has a group turnover in excess of €350 million.

The focus of SWARCO's business is to keep traffic in motion and inform and guide the traveller with innovative products and services in order to support the growing mobility needs of society

Dambach UK Ltd currently employs 50 people and manufactures from a recently expanded factory unit located in Richmond, North Yorkshire. We have two other support centres located in Milton Keynes and Ballymena.

As a member of the world's largest traffic signal producer Dambach UK Ltd has comprehensive know-how in electronic traffic signage. We have been supplying signs and systems to the UK market and Irish markets since our inception and maintained a market leading position by providing our customers with innovative products, solutions, installation and after-sales services. Our control system technology and solutions complement the company's product portfolio. All of our systems work with long-life LED technology requiring only a tenth of the power consumption of conventional light sources. Other systems available include signalled junction, Area Traffic Control, Driver Information and Over-height Vehicle Detection. Should any of our standard offerings not immediately suit your needs, we’ll work with you to develop a customised solution.

We are members of the British Parking Association (BPA) and Association for Road Traffic and Safety Management (ARTSM).

Our company is accredited with ISO9001:2008 Quality, ISO14000:2004 Environmental, BS OHAS 18001:2007. All of our installation staff are CSCS Registered and approved to the National Highways Sector Scheme and the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
